This kid HATES the thought of walking. He stands up just fine and has total balance, but we just can't get him to put one foot in front of the other. Part of the problem (at least I think so) is that he's overly-cautious. He is so afraid...of strangers...of falling...of being left behind...of A LOT of stuff. So I really just think that's it. On the plus side, I've never had to buy baby gates. He hasn't attempted going down the stairs :) He just looks over the edge and knows that danger is lurking!!
Today we tried to get him to walk by putting him on the itchy grass. But to no avail, he still didn't walk. Ah well. Another day! But it was so funny to see him do everything he could to get off the grass...everything but walk!

"Well, while I'm here, I might as well pose". (still squatting if you can't tell)

"I guess I'll stand up, my thighs are getting tired of squatting".

"You think I'm gonna walk, but you're wrong. Do you like my no pants look?"

"Down' I go, sorry."

"Seriously, dad. It's not gonna happen".

Added this picture in so that you could see just how big of a scaredy cat he is. He doesn't like the classic throw you up in the air game!
